Wi-Fi Campus

Wi-Fi is a facility allowing computers, smartphones, or other devices to connect to the Internet or communicate with one another wirelessly within a particular area.

Wi-Fi is the name of a popular wireless networking technology that uses radio waves to provide wireless high-speed Internet and network connections. A common misconception is that the term Wi-Fi is short for "wireless fidelity," however this is not the case. Wi-Fi is simply a trademarked phrase that means IEEE 802.11x.

WiFi uses unlicensed radio spectrum and does not require regulatory approval for individual deployers.

It allows local area networks (LANs) to be setup with cabling. The can reduce associated costs of network connection and expansions. Places where cables cannot be run, such as outdoor areas and historical buildings can use wireless LANs. WiFi products are extensively available in the market. There are different brands of access points and user's network interfaces are able to inter-operate at a very basic service level.
